Job Summary

• Interact with DeltaAfrik Corporate and Client accounting group to set up a project cost control and reporting methodology
• Develop, implement and control the project accounting and job costing system to meet project conditions
• Take possession of the cost control function and guarantee integrity of the data being processed
• Interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts and analyse project costs
• Oversee any supporting roles in the project cost control area
• Interact with clients to clarify cost related issues and develop timely and meaningful monthly invoices. Ensure payment of invoices according to EPCM contract terms
• Preparation of project invoices in conjunction with the Accounts Department
• Interact with Client for reporting purposes
• Preparation of monthly financial reports for the project. Also prepare other financial analysis as required on an impromptu basis
• Set up and implement financial controls including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections
• Preparation of budgets in unification with engineering and construction team members
• Guarantee effective coordination and cooperation between other team members, predominantly in regard to cost, planning (forecasting) and procurement matters
• Prepare and control Inter Entity Work Orders (where required)
• Contribute to development of a workplace learning environment (Training & Development)
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system significant to the Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Power Business Units.
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the various Business Units. Understand and follow HSE procedures.
  

Job Requirements

• Ten years professional experience in related duties
• Chartered Accountant or CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Engineering Degree or relevant years experience
  

Additional Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with an outstanding eye for detail
• Ability to deal with contradictory priorities in a busy environment
• Pro-active team player

Our client is a large building-material manufacturing company with a state-of-the-art plant located in the south-south part of Nigeria. The company is currently expanding production capacity which will remarkably increase its market share.

In order to achieve its goal and sustain it, it is seeking to complement its current pool of talents by employing a result-oriented, proactive and innovative AUTOMATION ENGINEER.

Responsibilities
To provide preventive and corrective maintenance for the automation system (2 Main Servers+ 1 Engineering Station + Plant Guide Server + 3 Clients + CEM Scanner System + 10 Central PLCs + 24 Local PLCs), and keep track and order spare parts for the automation system.

Job Skills

• Expected to have good understanding/job skills in managing and operating:
• Windows Server and XP editions
• Siemens S7 PLCs Hardware
• Siemens Step 7 Software and Programming using FBD/LAD/STL
• Siemens S7 Safety PLCs
• Industrial Ethernet and TCP in IP Networks
• ECS (FLS Automation Process Control System)
• Proface HMI Displays and Profibus Dp Networks
  

Educational Qualification
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Communications

Experience
Over 5 years experience as an Automation Engineer us an industrial plant (preferably cement manufacturing plant)
